Back on the grid at the EuroRX Championship
It was brilliant to be back as reporter for the fourth round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship in Estering, Germany as both the Super 1600s and Supercars got their moments in the spotlight.
Estering is the second oldest rallycross track in the world, after Britain’s Lydden Hill and it features a uphill gravel hairpin on turn one, a last-corner joker and sweeping downhills. And as the rain poured, we saw ever-changing and immensely challenging conditions on an already highly-technical track, which led to some pretty chaotic racing!
Yuri Belevsky picked up his maiden Super1600s win in his debut season beating series standings leader Aydar Nuriev, while in Supercars, Robin Larsson, undefeated in three rounds and scoring a maximum 90 points, was beaten into second place by Thomas Bryntesson.
